Townhouse developments
Plan the homes, the site and the delivery together.
We help landowners, investors and developers plan and build low-rise residential projects, from feasibility through approvals, construction and completion.
How we help
From feasibility to completion
- 01
Feasibility and concept
We check the planning rules and test layouts for dwelling size, parking, access and open space, with early cost allowances.
- 02
Design coordination
We coordinate the designer, surveyor, engineers and specialists, covering privacy, daylight, fire separation and accessibility.
- 03
Planning approvals
We prepare the application, liaise with council and coordinate responses to requests for information.
- 04
Construction and shared infrastructure
Shared driveways, retaining walls, drainage and utilities are planned into the build programme from the start.
- 05
Completion and subdivision
We coordinate the occupation certificate documentation and, where titles are proposed, work with your surveyor and solicitor.
- Good to know
More homes isn't always better
Each extra dwelling changes access, levels, drainage and servicing. We assess what each layout needs, so you compare options on the whole project, not just the yield.
Questions
Townhouse questions
How many townhouses can I build?
That needs a site-specific assessment of the planning controls, buildable area, parking, access and services. A concept isn't a guarantee of the approved number.
Can it be approved through a CDC?
Some low-rise housing may qualify, but don't assume it for a townhouse proposal. We check whether a development application is needed.
Can each townhouse have its own title?
We can investigate Torrens and strata options. Separate titles need approval, certification and registration.
Can you build from an existing approval?
Yes. We review the approved plans, conditions and reports, then prepare a construction scope.
